Our Bali Adventure

The team from Auto Plus SA recently swapped the workshop floor for the sunny beaches of Bali, heading overseas to attend the Repco Authorised Service (RAS) Convention 2025 — and what an unforgettable experience it was!

Not only did we come home with the incredible Outstanding Workforce Development Award, but we also had the chance to explore one of the most fascinating automotive studios we’ve ever seen: Tuksedo Studio, where passionate Balinese craftsmen hand-build life-sized replicas of classic cars.

Celebrating Success at the RAS Convention

Held in beautiful Bali, the 2025 RAS Convention brought together hundreds of workshops from across Australia and New Zealand — all part of the Repco Authorised Service network. It was a weekend of learning, sharing, and celebrating the hard work that goes into running independent automotive businesses.

We were honoured to receive the Outstanding Workforce Development Award, recognising our dedication to growing and supporting our team through training, culture, and career development.
This award means so much to us — it’s a reflection of our belief that great service starts with great people.

A Gearhead’s Dream: Tuksedo Studio

One of the absolute highlights of our trip was visiting Tuksedo Studio in Bali. Imagine walking into a workshop where rows of hand-crafted classic car replicas come to life — from vintage Ferraris and Mustangs to timeless Mercedes and Jaguars — all built by hand from aluminium, using traditional metal-shaping techniques.

The attention to detail was mind-blowing. Every curve, every panel, every stitch is meticulously shaped by local artisans who combine old-school craftsmanship with sheer passion. Watching them work reminded us just how universal the love of cars really is — it’s something that connects people across cultures, languages, and continents.

For a team of automotive enthusiasts like us, it was nothing short of inspiring. Tuksedo Studio isn’t just about recreating iconic vehicles — it’s about preserving the spirit of classic motoring and keeping traditional skills alive.

What We Took Away from the Trip

Between the stunning Bali sunsets, the camaraderie with other workshops, and the inspiration of Tuksedo Studio, we came home feeling re-energised and proud to be part of the Repco Authorised Service family.

The trip reinforced what we value most at Auto Plus SA — craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous learning. Whether it’s building a car by hand in Bali or maintaining modern vehicles back home in Munno Para, passion and pride in our work make all the difference.

Thank You

A huge thank you to Repco Authorised Service for organising such an amazing convention, to Tuksedo Studio for welcoming us into their incredible workshop, and to our team back home for continuing to set the standard in automotive service and workforce development.

We’re excited for what’s ahead — and after seeing those hand-made classics, maybe a few of us have some new project car ideas brewing!
